The island of Desroches is approx. 6 x 1.5 km in size, belongs to the Amirantes, is approx. 240 km south of Mahe and can be reached daily by plane from Mahe in approx. 35 minutes.
Half of Desroches is a nature reserve. The government of the Seychelles has set up a "Nature Reserve Station" - the giant tortoises, the breeding grounds of the sea turtles, the seabirds and also the underwater life are observed and recorded. This guarantees that there will be no further obstruction.
You can explore the island wonderfully by bike. There are 23 private villas and a long standing small hotel which reopened in March 2018 as a 5* Four Seasons Hotel. The owners of the villas can of course use and enjoy the restaurants, the spa area, the water sports center and the diving center.

When you enter the light-flooded, newly renovated villa, you feel the wonderfully cool room climate and get first impressions of the well thought-out architecture. The large living-dining room and the spacious living area with a modern home entertainment system are kept in an open style.
The spacious kitchen is separated from the living area by a bar and includes three fridge-freezers, a gas or electric stove, an oven, dishwasher, ice maker, washing machine, tumble dryer as well as crockery and all necessary cooking utensils.

The living room leads to the large terrace, in front of which lies the inviting, private swimming pool. Stairs to the side of the pool lead into the garden and after a few steps you are already on the deserted, white sandy beach with a view of the crystal-clear sea.
The garden is approx. 2,500 square meters, planted with grass and palm trees that provide shade and runs directly into the beach - the wonderful view of the sea is retained. Garden furniture for 8 people is available, as well as beach chairs. Bikes and kayaks are at your disposal.
The villa was completely renovated in 2017 and offers a luxurious standard. Of course, all rooms have air conditioning.
